Dr Michael O’Doherty

Dr O’Doherty is a founding partner of Killarney Medical Centre. Dr O’Doherty is from Killarney and attended Lissivigeen NS and St Brendans College, Killarney.

Dr O’Doherty studied medicine in University College Dublin graduating in 2004. Dr O’Doherty spent another five years working and undergoing specialist training in the large teaching hospitals in Dublin, including St Vincents Hospital, The Mater Hospital and St James’s Hospital. Dr O’Doherty received his membership of the Irish College of General practitioners in 2009.

Dr O’Doherty returned to his native Kerry to work as a GP assistant in Oakpark Medical centre for three years prior to opening up Killarney Medical Centre with Dr Michael Moloney in 2012.

Dr O’Doherty is a highly skilled and experienced GP with a Specialised interest in Men’s Health, Preventative Medicine and Medical education. Dr O’Doherty is a GP trainer with the school of Medicine in the University of Limerick.

Dr O’Doherty has also undergone specialist training in Occupational Medicine. He is a past member of the Board of Occupational Medicine of Ireland. Dr O’Doherty provides Occupational Medicine services to many local and national businesses including Liebherr Cranes and Astellas in Kerry.
