Dr Moloney is a highly qualified and experienced GP. Dr Moloney is native to Killarney and attended both Ballycasheen and Coolick National Schools before attending St Brendans College, Killarney. Dr Moloney undertook his undergraduate medical training in University College Cork and graduated in 2005. Dr Moloney subsequently underwent further specialist training in General Practice from 2006- 2010, at which time he received his membership to the Irish College of General Practitioners. During this time Dr Moloney also undertook further training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and attained a Diploma in Woman’s Health. Dr Moloney is an establishing partner of Killarney Medical Centre along with Dr Michael O’Doherty.

Dr Moloney has a special interest in minor surgery and has undertaken extensive training in the process of vasectomies. In 2015 Dr Moloney undertook a trip to the Philippians with the renowned Dr Laurel Spooner and No Scalpel Vasectomy International, with the aim of providing free vasectomies to developing areas with little family planning options. Dr Moloney is accredited as a No Scalpel Vasectomist with the Association of Surgeons in Primary Care and runs a No Scalpel Vasectomy Clinic at Killarney Medical Centre. Dr Moloney has a keen interest in Rheumatology and Sports & Exercise Medicine. He completed a Masters Degree in Sports & Exercise Medicine in UCC in 2007. He also underwent further training in the use of Acupuncture in Medicine with the British Medical Acupuncture Society. Dr Moloney is highly active in sports medicine and was part of the medical team to the All Ireland Winning Kerry Senior Football Team in 2014. Dr Moloney also has been team doctor to the FAI Under 17 squad since 2013.
